How Sal Fariello has
been able to help lawyers handle
complex litigation for a fraction of the cost they normally
expect to pay and still achieve exceptional success in

Before we accept a case
assignment, Sal Fariello
reviews it with you by telephone free of charge to
ascertain if there are any major insurmountable issues.
Many cases will be rejected on the basis of the first
telephone interview and there is no fee in most instances.
You will be given the reasons why Sal deems the case
unlikely to succeed based on accident reconstruction
and/or biomechanics or other factors.
In some cases, Sal
cannot make a determination by
telephone consultation alone. In this instance there is a
small fee to review medical records, police reports,
depositions, photos, etc. The preliminary assessment fee
is usually somewhere between $600 and $900. Some
cases may be less, and occasionally a complex case might
cost a bit more for a preliminary review. Sal has access to
many additional consultants who are associated with
Eastern Forensic Science Group. These associates are
experts in medicine, human factors and many other
specialties. If the preliminary assessment indicates that
additional forensic work will be a waste of time and money,
the case will be rejected. If Sal turns down a case for
further forensic work it is generally because a thorough
multi-disciplinary review has identified too many weaknesses
in the case to justify additional expenditure of a client's money.
If the preliminary
review indicates that the case lends itself
to full forensic intervention, a fixed fee quote for additional
forensic services will be provided to the client.
There are very few cases in which we are unable to
provide a fixed fee contract instead of hourly billing.
Sal Fariello has so much experience with rollover cases,
seatbelt and airbag cases, highway defect, pedestrian,
and intersection crash cases, etc., that he can estimate
what it will cost to analyze the incident and prepare a
report based on a fixed fee quote. Nobody would have
a house built without knowing in advance what the
construction work will cost. The same logic applies to
accident forensic work. A lawyer needs to know what
the cost exposure is for an analysis and report
before hiring an expert.
Using the aforementioned
approach, Sal Fariello has been
